Statement
For Broken and Repaired, I was inspired by the Japanese pottery technique Kintsugi or “golden repair”. The mending approaches cracking in ceramics by adorning them with gold paint. In developing Broken and Repaired, I imagined our world as its own vessel in which we can bring beauty to its breaking points.
